1. What is jailbreak?
Jailbreak is a "procedure" in which you unlock your Apple device from the restrictions of the parent!
Once "jailbreaked" your device will be able to install apps and tweaks not signed by Apple, but third-party!
You can then access the device as "root", which means as an administrator, and enjoy its benefits!
2. Is the Jailbreak illegal?
No, the jailbreak is legal in the USA and in Italy there are no laws prohibiting it! It's however illegal to use the jailbreak app to install illegal apps!
In theory, the only disadvantage is that a jailbreaked device lose the warranty offered by Apple.
On this, however, many tests have been made and it has been shown that with a full reset of iTunes is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE to know if the device was jailbreaked or not!
3. Is Hacking illegal?
No, hacking as many mistakes, differs from its side, say dark ("cracking"), the fact that a hacker finds flaws in security systems and then repair them while the cracker has used loopholes to steal and wreak havoc websites, etc. ...
4. What is the difference between a tethered jailbreak type and an Untethered one?
The difference between the two types of jailbreak is CRITICAL!
Tethered jailbreak untethered differs from that for the fact that in that tethered, each time we turn off the device will be necessary
reconnect it to the computer and carry out the "Just Boot" Redsnow function every time we need to turn it back on! The device might otherwise "loop" on the apple icon and the only solution is a full restore on itunes!
In Untethered jailbreak instead, which is the stable version of the jailbreak, we can turn off and on the device without any problem! :)
5. Jailbreak / Root voids the warranty?
Yes, in fact these two techniques to unlock and access privileges "Administrator" void the warranty, even if there are ways to restore your android device making it impossible to tell if it had been carried out the root. Also for devices with iOS (Apple) just a total recurrence, to erase the traces of the jailbreak!
