Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 - Root
This guide will explain how to obtain permission to Root the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2!
WARNING: it should be noted that it is officially procedures that invalidate the warranty (you can still return to its original state), and that if not done correctly can result in incorrect operation of the device; TDBHacks therefore assumes no responsibility for any errors or malfunctions caused by user errors.
Prerequisites
Basically enable root access on an Android device means you have full access to system folders, otherwise inaccessible. Having enabled such permits will be able to perform on the device changes or improvements would otherwise be impossible. In addition, many applications such as data backup or location of the device provide many extra features can only be used with root privileges enabled.
Procedure (Phase 2):
PHASE A: Flash Kernel
- Download Kies on the PC, install it and let him do all the updates.
- Connect your phone and make sure that kies read it (all drivers are installed).
- Close Kies (possibly through Task Manager).
- Download Odin3 v.1.83 always on the PC and open it from PC.
- Turn off the phone and turn it into download mode (VOL June '+ HOME + POWER BUTTON at the same time).
- Connect your phone to the PC and wait for the phone to be recognized by Odin.
- Download this file: I8160XXLD8_ready_to_root_ANT.tar.md5
- Flash it using Odin as PDA (Mark the item "PDA", then click on PDA and select the downloaded file).
PHASE B: Root
- Download the file update.zip from here .
- Copy the file to your phone's SD card (on both the memory and on the internal data memory).
- Turn off the phone and turn it back into recovery mode. (When off press VOL VOL UP & Down & BUTTON HOME & POWER BUTTON).
- Move with the volume control on "install zip from SD card".
- Select the file you previously copied into the memory card.
- Wait until the confirmation screen.
- Click on "reboot in normal mode" to restart the phone.
- You should now have the app "Superuser" installed confirming that your device has been successfully rooted.
